It pretty much all started with a plate of Tom’s spaghetti and meatballs. Then, the inevitable call of attention-starved Western citizens everywhere – y’know, you should really start a blog.
We know, we know. We should start a blog. Because we believe we have an idea that deserves bandwidth. Call it a mission if you will, but here’s our pitch:
A few stoic and not-so-stoic East Coast foodies and their quest for sustainable eating.
And that – in a nutshell – is what we’ll be doing. We might stray occasionally, but we’ll try to stay focused. We hope to share ideas, recipes, tips and more, all in the hope of relying less on factory farming and big business.
We’d like to try and do it without getting all eco-angry. Yes, we’d like to do it with a little joie de vivre. So consider this space like a dinner with close friends – noisy and fun yet intimate and welcoming.
In fact, that’s how we came up with the name for our blog. A six-top is a table for six, as they say in the restaurant biz, and we think that’s a great name for our virtual dinner party.
